Biennale Architettura

The exhibit investigates the relationship between two- and three-dimensionality, between empty and full spaces, and of light as a medium between reality and perception in artistic composition. This fully displays the extraordinary works of visual artist Ludovico Bomben.

Following his training at the prestigious Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, Bomben’s work is the outcome of intense research into materials, language, form and concept, all combined with the use of symbolism that can be traced back to the sacred and spiritual dimension, and which in itself becomes an entire area of investigation. The works in the exhibition are the result of this complex analysis, marked by a profound dialogue between traditional and contemporary art striving to redefine the sacred and mystical iconography of the present.

The link between past and present becomes even more exciting with the use of materials; the artist combines ancient traditions with latest-generation innovative materials such as Solid Surface HIMACS in the classic Alpine White finish, which lends its shape to the works on display.

Thanks to its extreme resistance to time and wear, its flame-retardant properties, and its incredibly hygienic surface, HIMACS is able to withstand intensive use in high traffic places such as exhibitions or museums. Ideal for art installations due to its highly impact- and scratch-resistant nature, this Solid Surface is very easy to work with and shape, thanks to its unique thermoforming characteristics that allow any shape you wish.
